Court Clears Naira Marley, Sam Larry, Primeboy of Involvement in Mohbad's Demise

Naira Marley, Sam Larry, Primeboy, and Mohbad’s manager, Opere Babatunde, have been discharged and acquitted by the Magistrate Court in Sabo, Yaba, Lagos, in connection with the death of singer Mohbad ¹.

The court’s decision was based on the legal advice of the Directorate of Public Prosecution (DPP) Lagos, which found that they had no case to answer regarding Mohbad’s demise. However, the DPP will be prosecuting Feyisayo Ogedengbe, the auxiliary nurse who treated Mohbad, and Ayobami Sadiq, one of Mohbad’s friends, for reckless and negligent acts.

Mohbad’s death on September 12, 2023, was surrounded by controversy, with Naira Marley and Sam Larry accused of bullying him while he was alive. The duo was arrested and charged to court, but have now been cleared of any wrongdoing in connection with Mohbad’s death.
